The most exciting thing about street photography is the element of surprise. It feels like I am in search of the unicorn gift. Humanity interacting with humanity – strangers engaging with each other in varying ways: accidental bumps and brushes, a quick smile, a nod. Or loved ones and friends exploring a downtown: a stolen kiss, a gentle nudge, a lustful look, an expression of excitement.
And then there are times when you discover something out of the ordinary – like a boho guitarist sharing his talent with all who will listen. This photo was taken at a local Downtown Farmers Market. It was shot with a Nikon D700 and a 50mm/1.4 lens. ISO 800; 1/1250, f5. Very little color correction in Lightroom.
