Train Tracks Downtown

I love black and white. When I see a great black and white image, I can smell the developer, and my eyes automatically seek out the red lights of a darkroom. With today’s technology, darkrooms have become archaic, but oh how I long for the quiet power of dodging and burning paper.

This photo was taken with a Nikon D700 and a 50mm/1.4 lens. ISO 800; 1/5000; f4. Obvious switch from color to B&W with a little contrast adjustment in Photoshop.
