Wrinkles Embraced

“With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.”

William Shakespeare

The story behind these eyes transcends his wrinkles. This unassuming man is an immigrant, a decorated WWII veteran who witnessed Mussolini’s demise in Italy, a loving and doting husband who is now a grieving widow, a humble servant, and a devout Christian approaching a century here on this earth. He has taught and continues to teach everyone his life touches how to live. Even though his eyes are now turned toward heaven with a longing we can only attempt to understand, his example speaks through actions, and we would all be wise to take notice.
