Have you ever taken a photo and wondered – what’s the story? Or in this particular case – was it really forever? Okay Timmy and Missy, what are you two love birds up to today?
It’s been said that a picture is worth a thousand words (cliche right?), but that’s what I love so much about photography…the thousand word part – not the cliche.
A photo captures a moment in time in someone’s story to potentially be pondered for years to come. I wonder who Timmy and Missy are and what compelled them to deface public property. But more importantly, as the photographer, I have to ask the questions: what does their story mean to me – how might it intersect with my life?
So the next time you look at a photograph, think of the story behind the image. Ask questions. Then take a moment to conduct an introspect of yourself – and ask, how has this image – this story – intersected with my life. You never know, a single image may change you forever.
