Chasing Light: The Journey

Sooner or later we must realize there is no station, no one place to arrive at once and for all. The true joy of life is the trip.

So much has been written about “the journey” as a way to find oneself or as a path of life, and while this post might not be any different, I’ll give it a shot. Keep in mind, this post is more of a declaration than inspiration.

DEFINITION: Journey (n.) – an act of traveling from one place to another. (v.) to travel somewhere.

Humans take many journeys throughout their lives: from babes to adults, from school to the work-world, maybe from single to married…and possibly single again. But what about a physical journey…from one place to another?

DH and I are considering a big endeavor – the purchase of an RV. Our current stop along this journey is finding the right fit. We are actually a tad bit overwhelmed with all the options. Class A, Class B, Class C, and then there’s Class B+ and Mini-Class C, and all the crazy camper styles as well. I say let’s get a tent and be done with it (oh, wait, we already have a tent).

I hear you all now, “Why?” The short answer is to chase light.

I’ve always dreamed of snapping an Ansel Adams worthy image, yet never imagined the possibilities beyond a simple dream. Now, I can see beyond the dream and toward making it reality.

Traveling, writing, and photographing – a journey worth taking. Follow the category “Chasing Light” for all the updates along the way.
